Essig Research has an immediate opening for an experienced CAD CAM professional based in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities include the ability to model and program milling and EDM machines, equipment storage, tools drawings and maintenance of job folders adhering to company’s standards and procedures. Additional responsibilities include:
- Writing technical instruction documents
- Leveraging CAD CAM processes for modeling machining operations
- Creating G-Code processes for machining operations
- Proposing tool design solutions
- Preparation of production drawings for tool components
- Maintenance of project information
- Use of Vericut and/or SAP experience a plus

Engineering desirable qualifications include:
- Experience in material/process development in both hot and cold section materials.
- BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Design Desirable qualifications include:
- Strong knowledge of Unigraphics NX 12 and Teamcenter.
- Ability to check 2D prints for drafters
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate remotely with co-workers and customers
Drafting Desirable qualifications include:
- Knowledge of Unigraphics NX 12 and Teamcenter preferred.
- Knowledge of GD&T beneficial
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness and desire to learn and grow within the company
- Ability to work independently and communicate remotely with co-workers and customers
